Mariposa Skate Sharpening

  • Sharpening and mounting services available Monday thru Friday for recreational and competitive skaters
  • Please leave skates in cart located in the Mariposa coaches room in the blue rink at Allandale Recreation Centre with cash and/or your contact information
  • To set up an appointment or request skates be completed by a specific time please contact Robert via text at 705-770-2702 or email rtebby@gmail.com.
  • Skate Sharpening discount cards are available, purchase a card for $100 and receive 6 sharpenings

Boots and Blades

Visit Boots & Blades in the Mariposa School of Skating office for a full range of Jackson Ultima skates, boots, and blades for beginners, recreational skaters, and athletes at all levels of competitive singles, pair, ice dance, and synchronized skating. A variety of accessories including skate guards, blade covers, barefoot booties, laces, and clear stretch skate tape are also available.

Mariposa office staff are available during their regular office hours to sell skating accessories only.

Off Ice Harness and Mechanical Spinner

Mariposa is proud to partner with the Rotation Room by providing a Mechanical Spinner and off Ice Harness area.  Please contact your coach for more information or our experts; Robert Tebby and Michael Hopfes.

Off Ice Jump Classes

Certified Athletic Therapist, Advanced Movement Therapist (AMT), Certified First Responder

Amanda completed her Bachelor of Science, Honours Kinesiology with a Minor in Psychology at the University of Waterloo in 2015. With a desire to help athletes and individuals recover from injury, Amanda decided to pursue a career in Athletic Therapy. She graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Therapy in 2019.
