Hockey Skating at the Mariposa School of Skating focus on building a solid foundation of proper skating habits that will then be applied to practice and game situations. Edge and Balance

Edge and Balance- Plus for individual player is a 5 week program. This program is specifically designed by Paul Matheson to build a foundation of balance and edge awareness that is a key first step in the development of players at this particular age and level.

There are Five series in total;

  1. Crossovers
  2. Backwards
  3. Acceleration
  4. Tight Turns and Transitions
  5. Tight Turns and Escapes

Maximum 12 skaters with two Mariposa School of Skating Coaches.

Edge and Balance for Teams– This is a hockey skating development program designed by Paul Matheson to build a strong foundation of balance and edge awareness. Please 705-721-1223 or email info@skatemariposa.com for more information.

Power Skating

Power Skating with James Callan- Explosive acceleration, proper use of edges, improved lateral movement, increased balance, precise stopping, body checking, puck control and play making drills. Our focus is aiding the player to take his or her game to the next level.

Skate Canada Membership for skaters planning to represent the Mariposa School of Skating in the 2023/2024 season.  This fee is non-refundable.
