Mitch has a passion for skating that began when he first put skates on just after he could walk. Mitch grew up training at Mariposa and was a competitive ice dancer for over 15 years, representing Canada on the highest stage. He and partner Alexandra Paul competed in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, as well as at multiple Grand Prix events, 4 Continents Championships and World Championships. Since retiring from competition in 2017, Mitch has found a new passion for sharing his knowledge and helping shape the next generation of skaters.

Mitch is a mainstay in the Mariposa Ice Dance program, but he also trains and choreographs for singles, pairs and synchro skaters. Being a AAA hockey player until he was 14, Mitch now works with hockey players as well.

Since beginning his coaching career, Mitch has attended Junior Grand Prix’s and Internationals, Junior Worlds, and Canadian Nationals as a coach, and he is excited to be apart of taking Mariposa into the future!
