In Memory of Alexandra Paul (Islam)

Dear Mariposa family and community,
We come together with heavy hearts and deep sorrow to announce the passing of one of our own, Alexandra Paul. Alex was taken from us suddenly, in a motor vehicle accident, on August 22, 2023.
To know Alex was an absolute privilege. Her kindness was deeply rooted and present in all that she did. We are devastated by the loss of this talented, loving woman; a mother, wife, sister, daughter,  friend, Olympian, lawyer, and so much more to those of us lucky to have been in her presence. Alex will forever be in our hearts.
Our deepest love and condolences go out to baby Charlie, Mitch, the Pauls and the Islams as they face this unimaginable tragedy. We are truly heartbroken as we struggle to comprehend this enormous loss.
Rest in peace dear Alex. Your kindness, grace, passion, and magnificent spirit will always be etched on our hearts.

Over the past 2 years our hockey team has participated in Mariposa’s skating program as part of our team development. I have observed immediate and long term results from each of our players edges, agility and Transitions. The results have been remarkable and as a coach I firmly believe in the skill of skating as critical foundation to any player. We will continue to invest our teams development money with Mariposa now and in the future. Mariposa’s staff is world class and nothing compares to the Team Edge and Balance Program!
