A CanSkate session for brand new skaters aged 2-4 yrs olds.

CanSkate is Canada’s only nationally recognized learn-to-skate program. It was developed by experts to teach the fundamentals of skating in a progressive and sequential manner.
Our learn-to-skate program is designed for beginners of all ages. When you sign up for CanSkate you will be in a program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development.

Lessons are given in a group format and led by NCCP certified professional coaches. Skaters progress at their own rate and coaches make sessions active using teaching aids, music and a wide variety of activities that create a fun environment and promote learning. CanSkate is the feeder program to all other Skate Canada Skating Programs.

  • No previous skating experience is required.
  • Small group environment where 3 levels of skills are taught and grouped by ability.
  • Skaters are encouraged to stand and get up on their own, gain a sense of balance and control.
  • Pre- Canskate levels move on to Canskate regardless of age.

I have been bringing skaters to the Mariposa Seminar for 18 years. Every year is a fabulous experience for both my skaters as well as myself. It never ceases to amaze me how professional everyone is and how willing this team of coaches is to share information to both the skaters as well as the coaches at the seminar.
