New Program

Skill Development

This program gives skaters the opportunity to develop their skating skills during the fall season.
This session is for skaters Star 5-10, Synchro Skaters, Adult skaters, Hockey/Ringette players looking for skill development.
These sessions develop and focus on technical fundamentals and quality skill development, Edge work, Power/speed, Flow, and Turns

This program is taught by Mitchell Islam

  • 4:00-4:50pm
  • Monday’s October 26th-December 14th, 2020
  • Allandale Recreation Centre Red Rink
*This program needs minimum 14 skaters 

Reminders: One parent per skater will be allowed into the Allandale Recreation Center, East Bayfield and Holly, NO siblings.  All skaters must wear a mask at all times when in the building except when they are on the ice surface. All parents must view the session from designated viewing area. Not at ice level.

**New as of Monday October 26th 

1) All skaters, coaches and parents will be required to answer health screening questions at the front door with City Staff.

2) All Parents and Coaches are required to sign in at the front door with City Staff.

Mariposa Skills Monday at Allandale 4:00pm-4:50pm

Enter the rink no sooner than 3:45pm.  Skaters will enter the Red rink and go into dressing room 1 or 3 and get skates on. Enter/Exit Ice surface at Door A (look for sign)The only change is that the on-line health questionnaire is no longer required. Questions will be asked at the front desk. Coaches and parents will continue to sign-in at the desk.

The results have been remarkable and as a coach I firmly believe in the skill of skating as critical foundation to any player.
