We share in the disappointment with the Ontario decision to close indoor sports as of January 5, 2022 at 12:01 a.m. for at least 21 days (until January 27) subject to trends in public health and our health system. COVID-19 public health measures and advice | COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Ontario
We did look into reserving some outdoor ice at City Hall for Figure Skaters and have been told that it is drop-in only. That being said, the middle of the day seemed to be the best time to skate last year. This ice is well maintained with a zamboni etc. It will be limited to 10 people at a time, including coaches.
Mariposa will not be offering zoom classes during this short-term closure. We will be sharing “drop in” zoom opportunities with you from off ice instructors as we are aware of them. As well, your coaches will be contacting you for their own zoom offerings at this time.
All Gold and Silver Memberships have been paused effective January 5th until the reopening. Any missed skating days during the closure will be prorated on your next renewal. Synchro will also be prorated on your next payment to accommodate the closure. Edge and Balance start date has been postponed to January 27th and will finish on February 24th.
All skaters who qualify for the High Performance Exemption will be contacted directly and this pause will not be applied to your membership.
The office will be closed until the reopening. Trinette will be checking emails and text messages once a day during the closure. You can contact her through firstname.lastname@example.org or for membership questions regarding punchpass please use email@example.com. Trinette’s work phone Number 705-623-1227. Please allow 24 hours for a response.
