Nicole Rodgers Hankin has been involved in synchronized skating for most of her life. She grew up in Barrie, skating both singles and synchro in the Barrie area until she was 19-years-old. Nicole competed on Junior National Team with the Barrie Royal Blades, winning a silver medal at Junior National Championships in 2001 before moving to Southern Ontario for university. Here she continued reaching goals on the ice and spent the next nine years competing at Senior National level for Nexxice. In her years with Nexxice she won three National Championship bronze medals, one National Championship silver medal and three National Championship gold medals as well as two World Championship bronze medals.
Coach Nicole returned to Barrie area in 2009 where she continued to share her passion on the ice with others in a slightly different role. Since then she has coached synchronized skating teams in the Barrie area at the Beginner, Juvenile, Pre-Novice, Adult I and Adult II levels. She truly feels that synchronized skating is a sport that is skated for life and she currently has skaters as young as 5-years-old and as experienced as 55-years-old.
